This photo is of George standing next to the Taylor racing trailer with a DeSilva A/B runabout and a Sid Craft D runabout with a Konig C engine. This was the 1st and only outboard racing regatta to be held on Lake Lloyd in the center of the Daytona International Speedway. George's father was killed in the 2nd heat of C racing runabout at Daytona in a racing accident.

George raced SCCA sports cars between 1962 & 1965. This photo is from the Daytona International Speedway in 1962.


1971 - Motocross racing in Orlando

George raced motocross from 1969 until 1971. He then switched over to motorcycle road racing in 1972.

George attended the Lake Shipp, FL AOMCI meet and brought along an original 1957 Konig B 350cc race engine.

George found this original, unrestored Konig race engine in Texas. The original owner had purchased it to race but never actually ran it. It still has the original spark plugs.
