US Title Series - official web site

Many of the US Title Series racing teams are also looking-forward with great anticipation to the 2008 UIM World Championships for O-125, O-175, O-250, 1100cc Hydro and 500cc Runabout that will be contested in Florida at the end of October. US Title Series events feature a variety of racing classes that employ different size (displacement) engines and hull types. Class size range from the single-cylinder 125cc classes to the multi-cylinder 1100cc hydroplanes. The engines employed are designed specifically for boat racing; are highly tuned; and can generate in excess of 13,000 rpm’s. The majority of the drivers utilize methanol for fuel and employ sliding exhaust systems that greatly increase the rpm’s and power of the engine.

The Quincy Museum

We are honored and privileged to share with you the exciting news that O. F. Christner and Quincy Welding are part of an exhibit display at the Quincy Museum, 1601 Maine St, Quincy, IL from 4/16/10 until the end of December. The exhibit is entitled "Work and Play on the Mighty Mississippi." In 1962 the Quincy Museum began as a small museum for Indian artifacts in Indian Mounds Park in Quincy, Illinois. In 1969 the museum moved from Indian Mounds Park to Quinsippi Island, an island in the Mississippi River near the City of Quincy. The Richard F. Newcomb House became available for purchase in 1980. Built in 1890-91, it was a remarkable example of Victorian elegance. The Quincy Museum has been located at 1601 Maine 1980. If you are in the Quincy area, please stop in and visit the museum.
